Mrs. Bhawani Basnet is the Vice-Chairperson of NEST. She possesses a solid experience in the field of accounting and financial management. She joined SOS Children Village (SOS CV) Gandaki as an Accountant cum Counselor and worked her way up the organization, and currently Deputy Director. Prior this, Mrs Bhawani has worked with a number of other companies. She was employed as Training Officer of Nucleus for Empowerment through Skill Transfer, Accountant cum Administrator of Pokhara Academy, and Coordinator cum Instructor of Matrix Computer Institute.
She has received a number of training related to her profession. She has received project identification, development and management training from Maastricht School of Management, the Netherlands in 2011, and a series of leadership training of first, second and third phase organized by SOS National Training Center Banepa. In addition, she has received participatory planning, monitoring and evaluation training, multimedia cum accounting package training, diploma in office management and appreciative enquiry. Mrs. Bhawani holds a Masters’ in Business Administration (MBA) and a Bachelor in Business Studies (BBS) from Tribhuvan University Nepal.
