Executive Committee
Mr. Rabin Shrestha is Joint-Secretary of Executive Committee of NEST. He joined the Rural Development Center (RDC) of United Mission to Nepal (UMN) as Forestry Assistant Trainer in 1998 and worked his way up the organization. Then, he was employed as Trainer and later into the post of Assistant Training Officer. Working directly with the communities, he has gained specialized knowledge and skills on community mobilization, consensus building and conflict management.
As a Trainer, he was responsible for designing, managing, coordinating and delivering various technical and non-technical training related to fodder and forage propagation and utilization, forest nursery establishment, agro-forestry nursery establishment and management, bamboo propagation, silvo-pasture and livestock management, slopping agriculture land technology, community forest management and establishment, non-timber forest product management, natural resources management and improved cook stove.
He has involved and contributed in preparing Forest Operation Plan Consultancy service in UMN/DRMP Dhading. He holds a B.A in Sociology, an Intermediate in Forestry from the Institute of Forestry Tribhuvan University and a S.L.C from Nepal.
